Lapsits for Early Literacy™ guides underserved parents and caregivers of newborns through three year olds to create a love of books, develop readiness for reading, and provide children's books in homes. Lapsits is a 501c3 organization. Specifically, we

• motivate parents through communitywide awareness events
• model how and why to share books, fingerplays, games, or songs
• provide parents free books with accompanying easy to follow literacy building cards
• send Lapsits Readers into low income center classrooms
