Lapsits Recognizes Early Childhood Literacy Champions
Every year Lapsits for Early LiteracyT, on National Family Literacy Day November 1st, recognizes outstanding Greenville leaders or volunteers who have nurtured newborns through three year olds in the joy of reading or have assisted numerous parents in replicating these practices in their homes.
A nominee must meet three criteria:
- The nominee's very early literacy involvement must primarily occur within Greenville County.
- The nominee may be a professional or paraprofessional educator or community volunteer.
- The nominee is currently actively involved or engaged with little ones or their families in very early literacy.
Nominations from the community are due on October 15th. Contact Dr. Sara C. Mansbach, Program Chair, with your nomination, at 349-0127.
